Welcome to The Sustainable Scent Co, thank you for taking an interest in my products. I'm Charlie, I began making Wax Melts in 2019 when we were in lockdown.

My partner and I were in a gorgeous rented cottage in the middle of nowhere, between my work and his. The cottage was old, run down & full of damp. We had just gotten a beautiful Great Dane who whilst we love her, she comes with her fair share of stink.

Whilst battling the damp mould, trying to dry clothes in a damp room & keep a dog in the countryside clean I got fed up of spending money on rubbish room sprays & plug in room scents that just added to the mix of smells or gave us a headache. So along came the desire to make melts. Originally starting with Bougie Hand Cut Glass Bottle Candles, I soon realised the work vs enjoyment alongside running another full time business was going to become tedious, quickly. I made some melts with the leftover products I had bought and here we are today.

5 years later & we are living in our first home & soon to be a family of 4. How exciting.
